Combining homeopathy, massage and perinatal education in my practice, offers a range of approaches to assist clients with various complaints.
My interest in integrative medicine started while working in a natural health centre in London in 1980s. I saw and experienced positive results from many therapies, and thus starting my own professional development in this area.
I studied under Janet Balaskas in London (1989 – 1991), qualifying as an Active Birth teacher, childbirth educator, and have since been involved in Active Birth education and Yoga for Pregnancy to groups and individual clients
Following the study of massage in London in 1989-1990, I have been in practice in New Zealand since 1991. I combine Western and Eastern massage techniques, pressure points, stretches and the use of essential oils.
Professionally trained at the Wellington College of Homeopathy, I have been registered with New Zealand Council of Homeopaths since 2000, and served as an executive member for 5 years.
My involvement in integrative medicine includes also study of herbal medicine and Reiki.
While I consult clients presenting with variety of ailments, my interest is in the individual rather than specific condition.
Considering the whole person with their unique individual complaints on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level, I aim to restore balance on those levels.
Favouring proactive approach to getting better, with the client an active participant of the process, I encourage the client-practitioner relationship based on cooperation striving to achieve maximum benefit.
Drawing experience from the range of modalities I practise, I view different types of medicine having potential to complement each other for individual people in different circumstances, and I fully support clients’ right to choose their healing option and modality.
